About FE Tellier Guitars
After retirement from my first career as a indstrial Electrician in 2005 I decided to try building an acoustic guitar. The result was to my amazement quite good. This inspired me to continue, so was followed by several more which were purchases locally. By 2009 I was doing my second career in Luthiery building custom guitars for clients and displaying my work at major guitar shows.
My approach with clients is to give as much input on design as possible and create an instrument we can both be proud of. Communication with them is a pleasure for me and I feel I have made a new friend by completion of their guitar. I take pride in taking and sharing photos of the guitar we are creating throughout the building process.
I build several body styles from Parlor size up to Dreadnought and jumbo, plus nylon crossover and Irish Bouzouki. Options available are fanfrets, baritone, cutaways, armrest and ribrest bevels Cntiiever neck and sound ports.
Modern frequency tuning techniques are employed and records of all results are kept. This allows reproduction or modification of each project to the desired tonal characteristics desired. I take pride in personally building all parts of each guitar, from wood selecting and preparation through to applying and buffing a very thin nitro lacquer finish. Each guitar comes with a double arched deluxe Boblin case manufactured in Montreal.
The base price for my builds is $5500 US with small up charge costs for options.
Feel free to contact me by phone, email or messenger chat. I would love to create a project with you.
